*** Random Poetry Anyone? ***
Thursday

To Alex
Though paper is changed
To that which eyes perceive
In glowing frames as
Fingers impress these sounds;
Though most who meet here
Are not well-met
And anonymity hides truth
'Neath lies;
Though they have warned
'Gainst seeking love
Through this web of
Words and words;
I have not sought yet found,
In truth am met with truth,
In distance great,
Yet minds so near
In thoughts and words and sentiments.

As Elizabeth of old with
Tremulous hands
I refresh these words aglow;
As here we might meet?
And this to offer thy companionship
And praise my sensibilities;
And this - we write of life
And perhaps, perhaps a chance
To span the distance
And breach the web of
Words and words
And put aside the glow
And reach for each other;
For though it may lead to pain
For some, and sin for others-
I bless this mass of lies
And deceit, words and numbers,
Trickery and idleness;
For it has brought me you.
